How to Hunt Ghosts
I am a spirit enthusiast and professional ghost hunter. I am definitely not saying I can teach you everything with hands on experience comes learning but I want to show you what basic steps a Paranormal Investigator would take when doing an investigation and what they do on a daily basis.
Step 1- Once you are contacted by the owner of the establishment pick there brain to find out information and do as much background research as you can on the building itself or perhaps the people who lived there at one time. Establishing how they died and if there is a bad history will help determine what kind of spirit your dealing with. This step can be tough sometimes and a lot of times I can’t find any information at all and just go in blind.
Step 2- Check out the site during the daytime and if there are any physical hazards like nails sticking out or holes in the floor mark them with glow in the dark tape. Never tamper with the property by building onto it for your convenience in some way for example. You also set up any equipment that would be much easier to setup during the daytime such as wiring.
Step 3- Have a meeting with your fellow ghost hunters to establish what equipment each person will have and what each person will be doing. Pick a leader, and if a large group you may want to split up and assign group leaders
Step 4- When you get to the site this is the point where you do a little spiritualness of your own you can do a little prayer, jumping jacks, or whatever works for you. Me personally don’t do anything except take a deep breath and say here we go haha.
Step 5- Walk around and get a feel for the spirits. Roam the property into different rooms and feel which areas you feel a stronger sense of spirits being present. This is where intuition and experience really comes into play.
Step 6- With your notebook in hand, get in there with your equipment and have the team goto work. Take readings, take pictures, and write down and feelings or emotions or sights you may have encountered throughout the house.
Step 7- Say a short prayer for the spirits not to follow you and your team and then analyze your findings.
